Hey everybody. I just got back from a four-day visit to see my family. Pretty relaxing. It was nice not having to worry about work for a weekend, though I am kind of happy to be back. Anyway, my mom and her fiance were asking about what kind of progress I was making in my artistic career, and the topic ended up including digital art and web comics. I showed them an article in the latest issue of Wizard where they spotlighted some recommended tools, including a variety of tablets, digital painting programs, and scanners. I explained to them that I already have a tablet, and that Photoshop Elements is, for the time being, good enough to meet my immediate needs, but that I didn't have a proper scanner, and had to use my Digital Camera instead. I really just meant to talk it out with someone, just to get it off my chest and get the gears in my head rotating. I was going to wait till after I bought a new TV then start saving up for one of the lower-end models, but being the incredibly generous and supportive people that they are, they ended up buying me a new scanner themselves.

Imagine, a Metroid game combining First- and Third person action and fully-voiced cinematic scenes, with some of the most gorgeous graphics on the Wii to date (and I know that graphics don't determine the full worth of a game, but admit it, you were drooling too ).
